BABA STILTZ & OKAY KAYA I BELIEVE IN LOVE

The heart-warming collaboration we didn't know we needed, idiosyncratic songwriters Baba Stiltz and Okay Kaya combine on 'I Believe In Love'. Opening to mellow electric guitar doodling, minimal bass guitar welcomes the stunning amalgamation of the pair's dual vocals as they spill vulnerable lyricism over the sparse yet affecting backdrop. Adding a decent dose of grit as the track reaches its climax, before dropping right down to an acapella outro, the pair manage to do a lot with very little - an enviable skill for any self-respecting songwriter. They explain: “‘I Believe In Love’ is about loneliness, longing and safety," Stiltz explains, “the joyful silliness of coupling and the fear it inevitably can lead to.” “I am very lucky to get to sing this banger of a song with Baba,” adds Kaya. “He makes me believe in all the silly things.” Listen here now. -Holly Mullineaux
